About The Position

The Associate Warden of Programs at Caswell Correctional Center is responsible for managing a variety of program services for the offender population, including case management, treatment and rehabilitation programs, and transitional services. This role involves establishing operating procedures, supervising staff, and participating in the Executive Management Team for facility planning and management. The Associate Warden may also act as the Warden in their absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a human services or criminal justice field.
• Three years of experience in correctional programs management or related work.
• Documented skills in supervision and management techniques.
• Documented knowledge of supportive counseling or treatment programs.
• Documented knowledge of community services and public/private programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the programs section providing services to the offender population.
• Establish operating procedures and standards for all program services.
• Supervise the hiring, disciplining, coaching, and training of staff.
• Provide an offender labor force for the entire prison.
• Participate in the Executive Management Team for planning and management of the facility.
• Oversee medical, dental, and psychological services.
