About the position

The Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) supports the Business Office Manager in managing the financial responsibilities of the facility. This role involves assisting with accounts receivables, deposits, and maintaining residents' financial information while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with residents and families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Business Office Manager with accounts receivables and deposits.
  • Manage residents' trust funds and census tracking.
  • Complete necessary financial documentation such as 3618/3619's and petty cash management.
  • Order office supplies as needed.
  • Participate in meetings with residents and families regarding admissions or payer changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' financial information.
  • Act as a backup for the receptionist, answering phones and greeting visitors.
  • Perform special assignments as directed by the Administrator or other management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Entry-level office experience is necessary.
  • Long term care experience in a business office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and re-determination processes is preferred.
  • Additional college/university coursework in accounting is highly preferred.
