About the position

The Assistant Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Hospital Services and Distribution functions at a specified Carter BloodCare operational location. This role involves managing shift operations, training Hospital Service Representatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all functional activities related to Hospital Services and Distribution.
  • Oversee training and competency assessment for Hospital Service Representatives on the assigned site.
  • Ensure compliance with AABB standards and FDA regulations regarding blood products.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse workforce towards common objectives.
  • Make critical decisions in unusual or stressful situations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; some college preferred.
  • Six months of experience as a Hospital Service Representative or in a regulated industry handling regulated material.
  • One to two years of experience in blood bank management, inventory management, or supervisory experience in a government-regulated inventory control environment.
  • Familiarity with computer blood bank/inventory management software/programs preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and customer service skills.
