About the position

The Assistant Program Manager at Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. This full-time position involves coordinating daily residential and program activities, supervising staff, and ensuring effective communication with consumers and their families. Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises daily residential and program activities including supervision of staff and maintenance of residence.
  • Organizes and facilitates opportunities for community integration in leisure and vocational areas for all consumers.
  • Maintains open communications with consumers' families, service coordinators, and responsible outside departments.
  • Keeps consumers accountable to the rules of the program and tracks their schedules.
  • Ensures all proper individual records and reports are created and handles the training of new staff.
  • Manages program funds and supervises personal finances for all consumers.
  • Researches and utilizes available means of therapy in relation to each client's individual needs.
  • Implements all behavior plans, ISP objectives, ADLs, disciplines, and recreational activities as designated by the Director of MR Services or the Assistant Program Director.
  • Evaluates staff performance at least annually and provides ongoing supervision to all staff.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of First Aid, CPR, and Occupational Safety and Health Act guidelines.
  • Background in human services with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a human service environment is a plus.
