About the position

Epsilon C5I is seeking intelligent, creative self-starters who are majoring in Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines for internship opportunities in our Beavercreek, OH office. These will be full-time paid internship opportunities awarded on a competitive basis. The summer intern assignments will begin in late May/early June following the completion of the school year and last through mid-August. The successful candidate(s) will be provided with hands-on experience working with members of our professional Engineering Team on technically oriented projects related to astronautical engineering to support DOD and IC customers. You can expect to deliver a kickoff briefing and a final accomplishments briefing of your project, any software developed or modeling and simulation results, and supporting documentation related to the project.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and testing of spacecraft and launch vehicle related systems via modeling and simulation or analysis of data.
  • Document any analysis or report on M&S results for project.
  • Design and model rockets, satellites, missiles, and space capsules to analyze and optimize designs.

Requirements

  • Emphasis on emerging Juniors and Seniors pursuing degrees in engineering, science, or mathematics.
  • Must work well both in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Must have strong research, writing and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and experience formatting, graphs, diagrams, and tables.
  • Must be a full-time student at an accredited, U.S. college or university.
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Individual completed junior year of studies.
  • Knowledge of Python, Matlab, C, or C++.
  • EE student with digital signal processing course work.
  • Previous internship experience highly desirable.
