About the position
Visiting Angels is seeking compassionate and certified Caregiver Angels to provide essential home care services to seniors in King County. This role offers flexibility and meaningful work, allowing caregivers to assist clients in their homes with various tasks, ensuring their safety, comfort, and independence. The position includes opportunities for training and development, making it suitable for both experienced caregivers and those new to the field.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
- Assist clients with errands and transportation needs.
- Provide heavy hands-on personal care for bed-bound clients and end-of-life hospice care with nurse delegation.
- Maintain communication with office staff regarding client needs and care plans.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- CNA or Home Care Aide Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to create and follow care plans
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Entry-level experience in caregiving (under 1 year)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in nursing or healthcare settings
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
