About the position
The Delivery Driver at St Joe Petroleum is responsible for safely transporting products to various customer destinations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and flexibility in handling different types of deliveries and vehicles. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and ensuring the safe handling of products.
Responsibilities
- Understand and obey all DOT & Traffic Laws.
- Operate heavy equipment in a controlled manner to ensure safety.
- Document and communicate maintenance issues on pre-trip/post-trip checklists.
- Ensure customer property is treated well and safely.
- Handle inventory diligently to keep products clean, safe, and contained.
- Communicate delivery plans, route changes, and issues to dispatch.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests and concerns from St Joe Petroleum staff.
- Work collaboratively with St Joe Petroleum staff on various initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness of St Joe Petroleum equipment and personal appearance.
- Deliver products to internal and external customer destinations as instructed by site managers.
- Unloading products using a pallet jack, lift gate, pump, and other means.
- Fulfill customer orders as per site manager's instructions.
- Ensure products are received cleanly from transports and box trucks.
- Operate a forklift as needed for deliveries and order preparation.
- Fulfill customer propane orders after certification.
- Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid CDL B license with the ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements after employment.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Flexibility in driving different vehicles and handling various deliveries.
- Great attitude, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
