About the position

The ATE Hardware and Software Maintenance Engineer at NVIDIA plays a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting automated test equipment (ATE) in the lab environment. This position involves configuring hardware, resolving software and network issues, and ensuring the efficiency of testing operations. The engineer will work closely with various teams and vendors to enhance lab productivity and support product testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the NPI lab Advantest 93000 testers' hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot tester-related issues and reconfigure or install new testers or instruments.
  • Work on Linux OS and Advantest software installation and upgrades.
  • Perform regular tester calibration and understand the calibration procedures.
  • Manage asset procurement and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in ATE maintenance.
  • Good understanding of Advantest 93000 system, including tester head configuration, power, and cooling systems.
  • Knowledge and experience working on Linux workstation networks and user account setup.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of the Advantest 93K HW maintenance training class with certification in ATE smart scale tester maintenance.
  • Working experience in an ATE lab to service and troubleshoot ATE-related issues.
