About the position
Athenix Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their team in Augusta, GA. The role involves supporting various projects aimed at developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems that contribute to national defense. The developer will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with other engineers to deliver efficient and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Optimize prototype solutions into efficient production services
- Integrate with other services
- Develop new software or enhance existing capabilities predominantly using Python
- Test and debug software code for network-connected systems/integrated applications
- Collaborate with a team of Software and Systems engineers in an Agile environment to analyze requirements, derive user stories, track issues, and create user documentation for development planning
- Perform integration and testing as needed
Requirements
- Active Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
- Strong experience developing in Python
- Experience developing Service oriented architectures
- Experience developing Microservice solutions
- Experience developing scalable solutions, applicable to both large- and small-scale platforms
- Experience with Gitlab
- Strong experience with container technologies (preferably Podman, but at least Docker)
