The Athletic Communications Photographer/Videographer position is a vital role within the athletic department, responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos of various athletic events. This position is designed for students who possess a professional skill set in photography and videography, and who are eager to showcase their work in athletic publications, on the department's website, and across social media platforms. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure, as the photographer/videographer will often be tasked with last-minute assignments and a variable schedule that includes weekends and evenings. This position not only enhances the visibility of the athletic programs but also provides students with valuable experience in sports media and communications.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of athletic events.
• Edit and prepare images and videos for publication on various platforms.
• Collaborate with the athletic communications team to ensure coverage of all key events.
• Respond to last-minute requests for photography and videography services.
• Maintain and manage equipment used for photography and videography.

Requirements

• Must be a current student eligible for student employment.
• Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably in a sports setting.
• Strong understanding of editing software and techniques for both photos and videos.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves
