About the position

The Athletic Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of sports and recreation programming for youth aged 6 to 18. This part-time role focuses on promoting health and wellness through engaging athletic activities, while also helping children learn valuable life skills through sports.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement a variety of structured athletic programs and leagues such as football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, soccer, and baseball.
• Implement fun and engaging Sports & Recreation-focused programming for Club members ages K - 18 years old.
• Assist the Sr. Director of Club Operations with necessary planning and documentation associated with program implementation.
• Track member participation and document the growth and progress of Club members.
• Participate in required growth & development and safety training.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all Club members, staff, volunteers, coaches, and families.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized working environment.

Requirements

• A love of sports and healthy activities, with a desire to expose kids to the benefits of healthy activities.
• Experience in sports, fitness & recreation related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in an after school or youth development program setting.
• Ability to coach and engage children between ages K - 18.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• A flexible approach and willingness to adapt based on changing situations.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with members and coworkers.
• Must pass a background check.
