About the position

The Athletic Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of various sports and recreation programs for youth aged K-18. This part-time role focuses on promoting health and wellness through engaging athletic activities while helping children learn valuable life skills. The coordinator will work closely with the Sr. Director of Club Operations to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement structured athletic programs and leagues such as football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, soccer, and baseball.
• Implement engaging Sports & Recreation programming for Club members ages K - 18 years old.
• Assist the Sr. Director of Club Operations with planning and documentation related to program implementation.
• Track member participation and document the growth and progress of Club members.
• Participate in required growth & development and safety training.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all Club members, staff, volunteers, coaches, and families.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized working environment.

Requirements

• A love of sports and healthy activities.
• Experience in sports, fitness & recreation related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in an after school or youth development program setting.
• Ability to coach and engage children between ages K - 18.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• A flexible approach and willingness to adapt based on changing situations.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with members and coworkers.
• Must pass a background check.
