About the position

The position involves creating and implementing a flexible program and classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and personal growth. The educator will develop lesson plans that align with established guidelines and will work to establish effective rapport with students, staff members, and parents. The primary goal is to motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to provide a solid educational foundation, tailored to each student's individual abilities. In this role, the educator will present subject matter to students in a way that maximizes learning opportunities. This includes reviewing student records to understand each student's abilities and needs, striving to maximize educational achievement, and demonstrating a variety of learning modalities in lessons. The educator will frequently utilize diagnostic assessments to gauge student learning and maintain accurate and complete student records. Regular assessments of student strengths and weaknesses will be conducted, with appropriate activities provided to address identified needs, along with generating progress reports as required. The educator will also be responsible for creating a classroom environment that is safe, clean, and conducive to learning, ensuring that student work is displayed appropriately. They will implement relevant policies governing student conduct and develop reasonable rules for classroom behavior in accordance with CSUSA policy. Instructional planning is a key component of the role, requiring the educator to develop lesson plans that meet established guidelines and goals, as well as individual and group learning activities tailored to students' needs. Additionally, the educator will strive to establish cooperative relations with parents and guardians, communicating clearly and positively through various mediums. Participation in extracurricular activities and parent communication activities is also expected. The role may include other duties as assigned, and the educator is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the job and the mission of the company, supporting its values in academic excellence, operational performance, and superior culture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and includes student-generated work on display.
  • Implement all relevant policies governing student conduct.
  • Develop reasonable rules of classroom/playground behavior in accordance with CSUSA policy and guidelines.
  • Plan individual and group learning activities designed to meet instructional objectives and students' needs.
  • Prepare for classes assigned and show evidence of preparation upon request.
  • Participate in curriculum planning during designated meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic information as required in the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
  • Protect supplies, equipment, materials, and facilities needed for the instructional program.
  • Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents/guardians when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with parents via all appropriate mediums.
  • Cooperate with members of the administration and other staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality about students.
  • Attend parent communication activities and participate in extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate).
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commitment to company values.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and administrative staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral, written, and active listening abilities.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Student Information System (SIS).
  • Strong student orientation and proactive initiative.
