The Athletic Director at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the college's athletic programs while also conducting other related athletic department duties. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for student-athlete development, and a commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive athletic environment. The Athletic Director will manage the operations of the athletic department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as NJCAA, Title IX, and other relevant guidelines. This role also involves budget management, fundraising activities, staff supervision, and community engagement to enhance the visibility and success of the college's athletic programs. In addition to the operational responsibilities, the Athletic Director will be tasked with developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the college's mission and vision. This includes building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, faculty, administration, and community members. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills to handle scheduling, compliance, and logistics for multiple sports programs and events. Furthermore, the Athletic Director will be expected to promote the athletic programs through effective marketing and public relations strategies, securing additional funding through innovative fundraising activities. The position is a full-time, 12-month benefited role, and the starting salary is $87,500, commensurate with education and experience. The Athletic Director will also be responsible for hiring and supervising coaches and staff, ensuring that the athletic department operates efficiently and effectively while fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity among student-athletes.
