This position entails comprehensive supervision of all athletic coaches and programs, ensuring that the district's athletic initiatives align with educational goals and promote student engagement in sports. The Athletic Director will work closely with the High School Principal to recruit and select coaches and advisors, fostering a culture of excellence and best practices in coaching methodologies. Annual evaluations of coaching staff will be conducted to maintain high standards and accountability within the program. In addition to personnel management, the Athletic Director will be tasked with developing and managing the athletic budget, maintaining accurate inventories of equipment and uniforms, and coordinating payments for coaches, officials, and game support personnel. Scheduling is another critical aspect of this position, as the Athletic Director will coordinate field and facility utilization for practices and games, develop athletic schedules for all sports, and arrange transportation for contests.
