About the position

The Athletic Director for Stokes County Schools is responsible for overseeing and managing the district's athletic program. This role includes budget management, scheduling of sports events, procurement of contracts, and ensuring compliance with athletic policies. The Athletic Director will also play a key role in promoting the athletic program and supporting coaches and players.

Responsibilities

• Manage the athletic program budget, including the supplement salary schedule.
• Schedule sports events and manage logistics.
• Procure contracts for services related to the athletic program.
• Assist in the selection and training of coaches.
• Update and maintain the coaches' manual.
• Oversee facilities including gyms and practice fields.
• Secure referees for games and manage transportation for the athletic program.
• Ensure player physical examinations are completed as required.
• Attend district and state level meetings regarding the athletic program.
• Investigate complaints related to the athletic program.
• Assist in the development and changes of athletic policies.
• Promote the Stokes County Schools Athletic Program through media channels.

Requirements
