About the position

The Athletic Director is responsible for implementing and maintaining the services of the school's Athletics Programs, ensuring that the objectives of these programs are achieved within budget and align with the school's goals. This role involves administering the High School's athletic program, developing related goals and objectives, and serving as a resource for information regarding physical education and health/fitness programs. The Athletic Director is tasked with preparing the master schedule for all athletic events, which requires significant time spent analyzing data, planning activities, monitoring programs and services, and supervising staff. The position demands flexible hours, including weekend and evening activities, and is classified as a safety-sensitive position, subject to the Employee Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy. The Athletic Director will report directly to the Principal. In this role, the Athletic Director compiles data from various sources to analyze issues, ensure compliance with policies, and monitor program components. They support coaches and administrators to achieve the athletic program's goals and direct the implementation of new and existing programs through delegation and personal involvement. The Athletic Director facilitates meetings that address a range of issues, manages athletic events to ensure successful and safe venues, and monitors the athletic program to ensure outcomes are met within budgetary guidelines. They also participate in workshops and conferences to gather and convey information necessary for their administrative responsibilities. Additionally, the Athletic Director performs personnel administrative functions for coaching staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating to maintain necessary staffing and enhance productivity. They prepare various materials for documentation and compliance, present information on athletic programs, and research information to manage assignments effectively. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • At least seven years of related work experience.
  • Previous exposure to or experience in the education sector is a plus.
