About the position

The Athletic Operator at Bucknell University plays a crucial role in the successful execution of both athletic and non-athletic events held at the Kenneth Langone Athletics & Recreation Center (KLARC). This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere during events. The Athletic Operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall experience of attendees, ensuring that events run smoothly and efficiently. This includes providing exceptional customer service, assisting with on-field or court activities, and enforcing university and athletic department policies. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning. On event days, the Athletic Operator will greet patrons, assist them in finding their designated seating areas, and supervise hospitality and restricted areas. Additionally, the operator may serve as a statistician, replay operator, or time out coordinator, depending on the needs of the event. This position is ideal for someone who possesses a basic understanding of athletic game management concepts and has strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. The Athletic Operator will be instrumental in creating a world-class in-game atmosphere that enhances the experience for all attendees.

Responsibilities
