Responsibilities

• Evaluate athletes' sports-related injuries and physical conditions.
• Plan and instruct athletic training programs to prevent damage and restore function.
• Monitor rehabilitation and reconditioning programs according to athletes' diagnoses.
• Document and interpret information from medical records, physicians, and families.
• Utilize appropriate assistive devices to protect athletes from injury.
• Explain and update safety rules for training and recreational activities.
• Implement and monitor athletic training programs based on real-time conditions.
• Perform concussion testing and utilize evaluation techniques to assess injuries.

Requirements

• Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification.
• Licensed and/or registered in state(s) of practice or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Driver's license may be required based on facility needs.
