About the position

Cognito Systems is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work at Camp Mateo, California, as part of the United States Marine Corps' Sports Medicine Injury Prevention (SMIP) Program. This role is crucial in optimizing soldier performance and readiness, providing high-quality healthcare to military personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to military personnel.
• Contribute to the Sports Medicine Injury Prevention (SMIP) Program.
• Optimize soldier performance and readiness through effective training and rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate records of athlete assessments and treatments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a similar degree.
• Graduate from a CAATE accredited college or university.
• Passing score from the BOC for the Athletic Trainer certification.
• Unrestricted state license/registration/certification in any of the 49 regulated states, D.C., or U.S. territories.
• Five years of relevant Athletic Training work experience.
• Experience working with active populations such as military, high school, collegiate, or professional sports.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Current physical and immunizations.
• Ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms/45lbs.
