The Athletics Creative Content Director at the University of Northern Iowa is a pivotal role within the Athletic External Relations department. This position is responsible for creating high-quality digital content that embodies the mission, values, and identity of the University of Northern Iowa Athletics Department. The director will develop a comprehensive social media plan for all sponsored athletic programs, ensuring that the content resonates with the target audience and enhances the visibility of the athletics brand. In addition to social media management, the director will plan, produce, and edit photo and video content for various platforms, including social media, the university's website, and in-game video boards. This role requires regular attendance at home sporting events and some away events to capture engaging photo and video content that showcases the athletic programs. The director will also manage and oversee all photo, video, and graphic design interns, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills. Building impactful relationships with coaches and student-athletes is essential to elevate the UNI Athletics brand and ensure that the content produced aligns with the department's goals. The successful candidate will need to be creative, organized, and capable of working under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Evening and weekend work, along with occasional travel, is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role. The director must also adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the Big XII Conference, and the University of Northern Iowa.
