About the position

The Middle School Track Coach will be responsible for leading and developing the track and field program for middle school students within the Western School District. This role involves coaching student-athletes, organizing practices, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for young athletes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach middle school track and field athletes.
• Organize and conduct daily practices and training sessions.
• Develop training plans and strategies to improve athlete performance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
• Monitor and assess athlete progress and provide feedback.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching track and field or a related sport.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Knowledge of track and field techniques and strategies.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience coaching at the middle school level.
• Certification in coaching or related field.
