About the position
We are seeking an Attorney/Lawyer to join our corporate department in Morristown, New Jersey. This permanent position involves providing transactional representation and business counseling to a diverse range of clients, focusing on corporate law matters.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and service agreements.
- Performing due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, including reviewing financial documents, contracts, and compliance with laws.
- Participating in the closing process for transactions, coordinating with various stakeholders and preparing closing documents.
- Conducting legal research to support client matters and stay updated on changes in corporate law and regulations.
- Conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, reviewing financial documents, contracts, and corporate records to identify potential risks.
Requirements
- 1-4 years' experience in corporate law, or a litigator wanting to transition into corporate law.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in document preparation and analysis.
- Strong work ethic.
