Responsibilities

• Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and necessary correspondence.
• Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders.
• Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases.
• Interview witnesses for court cases and prepare them to testify.
• Ensure the accuracy of all documents prepared.
• Promptly appear in court on all assigned cases.
• Handle all aspects of cases assigned to them.
• Perform administrative duties as necessary, including filing, mailing, and organizing files and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research for particular issues.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Illinois license required.
• 5 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Family law experience is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Family Law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Trial experience is a plus.
