About the position

The Employment Defense Attorney will be responsible for representing employers in various employment-related legal matters, focusing on PAGA claims and class actions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to develop effective defense strategies while staying updated on employment law changes.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in employment-related legal disputes and litigation
• Develop and implement defense strategies for PAGA claims and class actions
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on employment law compliance and best practices
• Stay updated on changes in employment law and regulations
• Attend court hearings and trials as necessary
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law, particularly in defense
• Proven experience handling PAGA claims and class action lawsuits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
