About the position

This position is for a passionate Personal Injury Attorney with over 4 years of experience in plaintiff pre-suit and litigation. The role involves client communication, negotiating settlements, overseeing support staff, taking depositions, conducting legal research, and leading mediations. The attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury cases and represent clients in court, ensuring effective case strategies and legal drafting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand the extent of their injuries
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel
• Represent clients in court
• Manage a caseload of personal injury cases including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases
• Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and legal writing
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports
• Work with experts from various medical and other disciplines
• Assist with deposition preparation

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience practicing pre-suit and litigation plaintiff personal injury law
• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage an office
• Experience drafting and responding to motions
• Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills
• Great attorney work ethic
