About the position
Our client, a leading law firm specializing in Occupational Injury cases, is seeking experienced Attorneys for both Senior and Associate roles in Fresno, CA. This remote position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in Occupational Injury law, either on the plaintiff or defense side. The role involves managing the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from start to finish, including discovery and litigation, while working closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.
Responsibilities
- Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers
- Prepare and manage communication with clients
- Create legal documents and negotiate settlements in workers' compensation cases
- Attend court hearings, manage schedules, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of medical professionals
- Negotiate lien claims and proactively manage cases
- Mentor and supervise legal assistants to ensure efficient case support
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Participate in marketing events for new and existing clients
- Review and work on case files, input case information into PracticeMaster and billing software
- Meet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviews
- Conduct training seminars for clients on current Occupational Injury laws
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Occupational Injury case law
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of recent experience in Occupational Injury law
- Active California Bar license
