About the position

The Manager, Digital Buying Experience is a pivotal role within the Retail Buying Experience team at Volkswagen Group of America, located in Reston, VA. This position is responsible for managing a Solutions Lead and guiding a team of in-dealership Digital Retail Consultants. The primary focus of this role is to oversee the departmental budget and all purchasing activities, ensuring that the Digital Buying Experience is optimized across all tiers. The Manager will be accountable for the Tier 1-3 Digital Buying Experience, as well as all activities related to Audi of America's lead management and dashboarding processes. This role is crucial in providing insights into which buying experience tactics yield the best leads and highest customer satisfaction, thereby enabling Audi of America to refine its sales strategy for greater effectiveness and efficiency. In addition to managing the Digital Buying Experience, the Manager will lead the execution of the Enterprise Lead Management (ELMS) Program, the Audi Certified Provider Program, and the Tier 3 Pricing & Disclaimer strategies. This includes reviewing and re-engineering existing processes, developing new benchmark processes in collaboration with the dealer network, and aligning with digital teams to ensure a comprehensive view of operations. The Manager will also implement lead management transformation systems and ensure that retail requirements are met across the dealer network. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, with the ability to track progress and make necessary adjustments to meet tight deadlines. The Digital Buying Experience Manager will also be responsible for providing granular data that adheres to stringent PII sensitivity rules, assisting field personnel in enhancing their consulting opportunities with dealers. The insights and dashboards created will not only support the dealer network but also provide Audi of America with transparency into lead management and digital retail processes, ultimately contributing to a premium buying experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the Enterprise Lead Management (ELMS) Program.
  • Manage the Tier 1-3 Digital Buying Experience and Audi Certified Provider Program.
  • Oversee Tier 3 Pricing & Disclaimer strategies and system transformation at Audi of America and its dealerships.
  • Review current ELMS and 3rd Party Provider processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Redesign existing processes in collaboration with Regional and Area Executives and key stakeholders.
  • Develop new benchmark processes with input from the dealer network.
  • Set clear priorities, KPIs, and timelines with regional teams.
  • Align with digital teams and regional marketing/performance consulting teams for a holistic view.
  • Implement lead management transformation systems and dashboard visualizations.
  • Lead development teams to ensure retail requirements are met and utilization is consistent across the dealer network.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in automotive retail sales and service environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Expertise in Lead Management tools, preferably in Sales Force.
  • Budget management experience with proven ability to track results and utilize data to improve performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and implement change in processes, behavior, and systems.
  • Experience in managing large teams in matrix organizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Automotive dealership sales or management experience.
  • Experience working in or directly with an agency and/or technical consultancy.
  • Certified Vendor Program Experience.
