About the position

The Audio/DSP Tools Engineer Co-op position at Bose involves supporting the development of software and systems for internal audio measurement and digital signal processing (DSP) tools. This role is crucial for maintaining Bose's leadership in noise cancellation technology, contributing to the design, modeling, and testing of audio systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Software Support to the Controls and DSP audio teams
• Develop software tools used by Acoustic, Controls and DSP Engineers
• Design software workflows to simplify audio recording

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Basic Audio Signal processing (Sampling, Filtering)
• Experience with MATLAB, Python or another scripting language

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with one or more modern compiled languages (C++/Java/C#/Rust etc.)
• Experience with Digital Signal Processing Hardware
• Experience designing multi-threaded software
• Experience with a modern Sound API (ASIO, WASAPI, PulseAudio)
• Experience with professional digital audio workstation software (Ableton Live, Pro tools etc.)
• Experience writing VST plugins
