About the position

As a Senior Audio Embedded Software Engineer at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in the development of audio technologies for a range of Apple products. This position involves collaborating with various teams to define product features, designing and implementing embedded software, and optimizing code for performance within memory constraints. You will also support hardware debugging and work with manufacturers to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional engineering teams to define product features and requirements.
• Lead the definition of system architecture for new products and features.
• Design, implement, debug, and test embedded C/C++ code for Apple audio products.
• Optimize code to fit within tight memory constraints.
• Support electrical bring-up and debugging of prototype hardware.
• Work with internal teams and external manufacturers to bring products to mass production.
• Define communication protocols in collaboration with software teams.
• Create test tools to expand product ecosystem features.

Requirements

• Proven experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
• Strong understanding of audio technologies and systems.
• Experience with 16-bit, 32-bit, and 64-bit microcontrollers (MCUs).
• Ability to optimize code for performance and memory usage.
• Experience in debugging hardware and software issues.
