About the position

The Audio Engineer at the Boeing Center at Tech Port is responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by managing the technical aspects of audio production. This part-time role involves collaborating with production teams, overseeing audio equipment, and providing professional service during events.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the Load-in & Out of band equipment and rental equipment
  • Set Up and Break down of Band and Event Equipment
  • Cabling and patching while working as a team
  • Make audio adjustments and maintain safe audio levels
  • Operate Audio Control Boards
  • Oversee visiting audio techs during shows
  • Protect, maintain, and repair audio equipment
  • Assist with production throughout the venue as needed
  • Assist the Production Manager with technical advances with artists' representatives
  • Ensure proper care and handling of all house and rental audio equipment
  • Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
  • Distribute or create audio plans
  • Oversee and operate audio systems throughout the venue
  • Schedule and execute audio needs for special events professionally
  • Maintain relationships with local and national audio vendors
  • Assist lighting crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
  • Assist with any special events operations

Requirements

  • Experience in pro audio systems, stage lighting, and basic video systems
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in touring/stage production
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
  • Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • High School Diploma (additional experience may substitute for education)
