About the position

As an Audio Engineer at Sony Music Entertainment, you will play a crucial role in managing metadata, providing system and asset level support for both domestic and international users, and troubleshooting supply chain issues. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and audio editing, ensuring that digital audio content meets high standards. You will be responsible for various tasks including audio mastering, clip creation, and data entry, all while working in a collaborative and creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Detailed quality control and quality assurance
• Migration of assets into the asset management system
• Metadata and asset level troubleshooting
• Data entry
• Clip point identification (first verse, chorus, etc)
• Audio mastering / editing
• Master delivery via FTP/S3/Aspera

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in audio engineering/editing/post production
• Degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certification
• General knowledge of digital audio
• General knowledge of audio quality attributes
• General knowledge of digital compression formats/techniques
• Experience with audio editors (Sequoia, Protools)
• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management Applications and processes
• Knowledge of audio digitization systems
• Experience with FTP/SFTP/S3 (Filezilla, Commander One, Cyberduck, etc)
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
