About the position

The Audio Engineer at Faith Church plays a crucial role in creating an environment where individuals can experience the presence of God through music and spiritual leadership. The Audio Engineer will assist the Global Worship & Production Director in overseeing all audio elements for services and events at their assigned campus. This includes managing audio equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all audio operations run smoothly during services and events. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and a heart for ministry, as the Audio Engineer will also be responsible for developing and leading the Dream Team, a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the church's audio needs. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Audio Engineer is expected to maintain personal and professional integrity, aligning their actions with the church's values and mission. This includes attending services regularly, investing in community groups, and fostering a positive and collaborative environment among the audio team and other church leaders. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence, as the Audio Engineer will often work under pressure during high-stress events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the church, a mature faith, and the ability to lead and inspire others in their ministry efforts. The Audio Engineer will also be involved in the continuous improvement of audio operations, suggesting best practices and improvements to enhance the overall worship experience. This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and development. The Audio Engineer will be expected to travel to different campuses as needed, participate in meetings, and assist with various audio-related tasks, ensuring that all aspects of audio production are executed flawlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all audio elements for services and events at an assigned campus.
  • Serve as primary troubleshooting and management contact for Audio at an assigned campus.
  • Update hardware, software, and equipment firmware regularly.
  • Maintain and clean all audio equipment.
  • Load and program content for services and events.
  • Manage the campus Dream Teamers for audio operations.
  • Assist Global Worship & Production Director in project execution and coordination for other campuses.
  • Participate in accomplishing major Faith Church Audio projects and department goals.
  • Manage and oversee operation of all audio equipment and distributed systems at an assigned campus.
  • Work closely with the Global Worship & Production Director and Audio Team members to develop operational procedures.
  • Suggest improvements and best practices for audio operations.
  • Build healthy relationships with the Audio Team and other key leaders.
  • Serve as primary manager and mobilizer of all aspects of the assigned campus audio Dream Team.
  • Create a system of leadership development for potential Dream Team leaders.
  • Travel to assigned campuses for meetings, services, and training as needed.
  • Be available for rare emergency work during non-business hours.

Requirements

  • Advanced level of experience in applied theory related to audio engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year in Church Ministry experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
