About the position

As an Audio Engineer at Sony Music Entertainment, you will play a crucial role in managing metadata, providing system and asset level support for both domestic and international users. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting supply chain issues, ensuring quality control of digital audio content, and performing audio editing and mastering tasks. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as well as a solid understanding of audio engineering principles and digital audio technologies.

Responsibilities

• Detailed quality control and quality assurance
• Migration of assets into the asset management system
• Metadata and asset level troubleshooting
• Data entry
• Clip point identification (first verse, chorus, etc)
• Audio mastering / editing
• Master delivery via FTP/S3/Aspera

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in audio engineering/editing/post production
• Degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certification
• General knowledge of digital audio
• General knowledge of audio quality attributes
• General knowledge of digital compression formats/techniques
• Experience with audio editors (Sequoia, Protools)
• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management Applications and processes
• Knowledge of audio digitization systems
• Experience with FTP/SFTP/S3 (Filezilla, Commander One, Cyberduck, etc)
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
