About the position

The Audio Engineer at SoFi Stadium will oversee audio engineering for the stadium and performance venue, ensuring high-quality audio experiences for live events. This role involves technical implementation, maintenance of audio equipment, and collaboration with internal and external production teams to deliver exceptional audio services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audio engineering for SoFi Stadium and the Performance Venue.
• Implement and maintain audio control room and equipment.
• Provide audio reinforcement as a FOH engineer for live events.
• Work with visiting audio staff for external audio system integration.
• Maintain and repair audio equipment, including preventative maintenance.
• Assist the Production Manager with audio-specific technical advances.
• Interact with visiting production crews to ensure successful events.
• Set up and break down audio equipment for productions.
• Maintain documentation of audio system changes and implementations.
• Assist with IT equipment installation and maintenance related to audio systems.
• Supervise and train assigned staff and oversee contract engineers.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience as an audio technician or engineer in broadcast and live audio.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting audio hardware and software, digital consoles, and outboard processors.
• Strong understanding of audio over IP (AoIP) and IP 2110 multicast architecture.
• Experience with large scale Dante audio networks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with modern DSP tools and programming including BSS Audio Architect and QSC QSys.
• Experience with intercom systems, programming, and maintenance.
