The Audio Video Hardware Test Engineer is responsible for the testing and maintenance of the software, hardware, and fixtures used to perform automated testing of Audio Video Devices products. This role requires a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of audio and video hardware as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The engineer will engage in various testing environments, primarily focusing on Windows, and will be expected to interact with applications through both graphical user interfaces (GUI) and command line interfaces. The position demands a proactive approach, as the engineer must be capable of completing tests with little to no supervision, showcasing strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while also being a team player is essential for success in this role. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Audio Video Hardware Test Engineer will be involved in creating complex and automated test sequences using Audio Precision APx5xx audio analyzers. This includes conducting acoustical and electrical testing, as well as ensuring compliance with TS 26-132 requirements and mobile certification. The engineer will also be responsible for studying coil whine or similar noise issues, utilizing acoustic cameras, and developing test creation methodologies. The role is critical in ensuring that the products meet the highest standards of quality and performance before they reach the market.
