About the position

Apple is seeking an Audio Production Engineer to lead audio operations and management for various production systems, including OB trucks and studios. This role involves delivering exceptional audio and IT support for event productions, ensuring that content creation systems meet Apple's high standards for quality. The engineer will be a key technical resource, responsible for system design, deployment, and real-time problem-solving in dynamic production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead audio operations and management for OB trucks, flight packs, and production centers.
• Provide technical support for audio production technologies used in immersive content creation.
• Collaborate with production technology, R&D, and content teams to support creative visions with technical solutions.
• Solve complex technological and creative workflow challenges in real-time during productions.
• Conduct quality control of all production elements in the audio production workflow.
• Stay updated on the latest media production technology and engineer improvements to workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operating or architecting professional audio production systems for events.
• Hands-on experience with 2110, AES67, Dante, and other IP-based audio production technologies.
• Technical commissioning and end-user operation of audio production hardware and software.
• Strong problem-solving skills under time constraints and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Experience working in diverse international locations as key technical production staff.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience architecting or servicing audio facilities in broadcast production environments.
• Familiarity with audio consoles, intercom systems, DAW applications, and media networking tools.
• Strong IT skills related to media production engineering tasks, including IP networking and multicast routing.
• Experience in remote integration (REMI) based production environments.
• Quality control of media signals for various audio/video issues.
