Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on next-generation AirPods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and challenges.
• Define and refine team test tools, processes, and procedures.
• Conduct testing in areas such as Audio Drivers and Firmware.
• Triage problems, prioritize tasks, and propose resolutions.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in general test engineering.
• Expertise in audio testing and software testing.
• Foundational understanding of electronic and audio technology.
• Ability to triage problems and propose resolutions.
• Strong ear for sound anomalies and validation of sound quality.
• Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.).
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to script in Python.
• Audio DSP experience.
• Understanding of game audio implementation.
