About The Position

The Audio Media Technologies Group (AMT) at Apple is seeking a creative and organized test engineer to perform manual testing on the next generation of AirPods. This role involves working with automated solutions to enhance quality initiatives and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and challenges. The position demands a keen ear for quality and the ability to adapt to new technologies in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in general test engineering.
• Expertise in audio testing and software testing.
• Foundational understanding of electronic and audio technology.
• Ability to triage problems and propose resolutions.
• Strong ear for sound anomalies and validation of sound quality.
• Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.).
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to script in Python.
• Audio DSP experience.
• Understanding of game audio implementation.
• Musicians welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on audio drivers and firmware for next-generation AirPods.
