About the position

The Audio Software Tools Engineer will support the audio algorithms team by developing various tools aimed at enhancing audio processing components. This role involves creating simulation tools for microphone placement, synthetic test vector frameworks, and implementing test metrics to ensure high-quality audio experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the audio algorithms team in developing tools for audio processing.
• Create simulation tools for microphone placement.
• Develop tools for synthetic test vector frameworks.
• Implement test metrics for audio quality assurance.

Requirements

• BS/MS Degree with 5+ years' experience in audio software engineering.
• Basic understanding of digital signal processing, signals, and systems.
• Experience designing acoustic experiences.
• Solid understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and transducers.
• Proficient with Matlab and Python.
• Critical listening skills and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of digital/analog circuit design is helpful.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with augmented reality and virtual reality applications.
• Familiarity with audio signal processing and modeling software.
