About the position

The Audio Visual Bid Estimator at Ford Audio Video is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bills of materials for high-profile projects within the Bid Center. This role requires a strong technical aptitude in AV technology, as well as the ability to analyze specifications and plans to ensure precise estimations. The position is integral to the company's commitment to excellence in audiovisual solutions, contributing to the design, installation, and service of professional AV systems.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and plans for accuracy.
• Prepare accurate bills of materials for projects.
• Develop materials cost estimates as part of the Bid Center.
• Ensure integrity of cost estimates including labor, installation, and travel costs.
• Organize take-offs and estimates in response to bid forms and related documents.

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction and/or cost estimation.
• High technical aptitude and keen analytical abilities.
• Experience with audio, video, and lighting systems.
• Excellent computer skills, including typing/10-key and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Nice-to-haves
