About the position

The Audio Visual Bid Estimator (BE) is responsible for reviewing specifications and plans, preparing an accurate bill of materials, and creating a materials cost estimate as part of the Bid Center. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of the estimates for high-profile projects at Ford AV, working under the direction of the Bid Estimation Manager.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and plans for accuracy.
• Prepare an accurate bill of materials.
• Create materials cost estimates including labor costs.
• Organize take-off and resulting estimates in response to bid forms and related documents.

Requirements

• Prior experience and/or knowledge of construction and/or cost estimation.
• High technical aptitude and keen analytical abilities.
• Experience with audio, video, and lighting systems.
• Excellent computer skills, including typing/10-key and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
