About the position

We are working with a leading provider of innovative audio-visual solutions, dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for diverse clients. Our client's expertise spans across corporate, education, entertainment, and hospitality sectors, where they design and implement cutting-edge AV systems. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Audio-Visual System Designer to join their remote team. As an Audio-Visual System Designer, you will be tasked with crafting comprehensive AV system designs tailored to our clients' specific needs. Expertise in Crestron, QSYS, Biamp, Extron, Shure, and Visio is required, along with a strong grasp of the latest AV technologies and industry best practices. While this role does not involve direct programming responsibilities, a solid understanding of programming concepts is essential for effective system design and integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed audio-visual system plans, including schematics, signal flow diagrams, and equipment lists.
  • Utilize D-Tools software for project documentation, including bill of materials, labor estimates, and system diagrams.
  • Design systems with programming requirements in mind, collaborating with programmers when necessary.
  • Create and maintain system diagrams and documentation using Visio.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather requirements, assess project scope, and deliver customized AV solutions.
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, client specifications, and project budgets.
  • Provide remote support and guidance to installation teams during the implementation phase.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Stay informed on emerging AV technologies and industry trends to integrate them into your designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as an AV System Designer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in D-Tools, Crestron, QSYS, Biamp, Extron, Shure, and Visio, with a willingness to learn D-Tools/Monday.com if not already proficient.
  • Solid understanding of programming concepts, even though programming is not part of your responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of AV system design principles, signal flow, and equipment selection.
  • Strong grasp of networking concepts related to AV systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CTS, CTS-D, or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
