About the position

The Audio Visual Engineer at Leidos is responsible for supporting an enterprise IT program within the Intelligence Community. This role involves utilizing in-depth knowledge and best practices to enhance audio/video systems and services. The engineer will engage with customers, translate requirements into functional designs, and ensure the successful implementation of complex A/V systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveys.
• Translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
• Understand architectural/construction drawings and documentation.
• Design and engineer complex audio/video/VTC systems, including providing floor plans and elevations.
• Create engineering, programming, and installation labor estimates.
• Configure and test Audio/Video systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant A/V experience, or additional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Basic understanding of IP technologies.
• Experience working with A/V switching systems.
• Experience with commercial audio and understanding of audio theory, signal flow, and gain staging.
• Experience with DSP technology, including DANTE.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Visio and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders, and clients.
• Understanding of industry best practices in audio, video, and control systems design/integration for various environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Formal education in Electronics or related field.
