About the position

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for the installation and integration of audio-visual equipment for clients. This role involves pulling and terminating cables, installing and programming equipment, and troubleshooting complex audio-video systems. The technician will work closely with co-workers and management to ensure high-quality service and adherence to project scopes.

Responsibilities

  • Dress, label, pull, cut and terminate cables
  • Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches
  • Install cameras and identify various cable types
  • Mount and dress displays of various sizes including wall panels
  • Program various audio-visual equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients
  • Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts
  • Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
  • Partner with co-workers and management to provide customer service
  • Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration
  • Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, and cable testers
  • Ability to read and interpret ceiling plans and room flow diagrams
  • Knowledge of AC/D voltage basics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based portals
  • Ability to fit into tight spaces and work in various environmental conditions

  • Experience with programming proprietary equipment
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
  • Strong decision-making skills
