About the position
The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for the installation and integration of audio-visual equipment, including pulling and terminating cables, installing equipment, and programming proprietary systems for clients. This role requires a strong understanding of cable types and installation processes, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex audio-video systems. The technician will work closely with clients and team members to ensure high-quality service and adherence to project scopes.
Responsibilities
- Dress, label, pull, cut and terminate cables
- Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches
- Install cameras and identify various cable types
- Mount and dress displays of various sizes including wall panels
- Program various audio-visual equipment
- Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients
- Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts
- Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
- Partner with co-workers and management to provide excellent customer service
- Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with project scopes
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, and cable testers
- Ability to read and interpret reflected ceiling plans and elevation drawings
- Knowledge of AC/D voltage basics
- Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces and work in various environmental conditions

- Experience with programming proprietary audio-visual equipment
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to escalate issues effectively
