About the position

The Audio Visual Field Engineer position at TRITECH Communications is designed for a professional engineer with a high technical IQ and the ability to work independently to solve complex technical issues. This role involves executing project deliverables, which include programming advanced Audio Visual systems, troubleshooting and commissioning systems, and training customers on the use of cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of advanced Audio Visual technology and outstanding communication skills, enabling them to overcome project obstacles and make timely independent decisions. The engineer will work effectively as part of the customer's project team, which may include project managers, architects, MEP engineers, and technology design consultants, to ensure the highest level of system technical performance and uptime while achieving schedule milestones. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for writing and modifying DSP (Digital Signal Processing) files and coordinating control of DSP with the control system programmer. They will configure complex systems such as AMX, Biamp, Cisco, Crestron, Polycom, matrix mixers, switchers, and codecs, as well as IP addressable devices like routers, switches, and servers. The engineer will ensure that systems operate as designed and will independently drive project deliverables from the installation phase through commissioning to final inspection. They will diagnose and solve system issues, load, test, and troubleshoot all control code, and train customers on all aspects of system functionality. The role requires a highly competent individual with advanced software systems knowledge and creativity to implement programming solutions and solve complex technical issues. Communication and interaction with clients and industry professionals in a professional manner are also essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Write and modify DSP (Digital Signal Processing) files and coordinate control of DSP with the control system programmer.
  • Configure complex systems such as AMX, Biamp, Cisco, Crestron, Polycom, matrix mixers, switchers and codecs.
  • Configure IP addressable devices such as routers, switches and servers.
  • Ensure system is operating as designed.
  • Independently drive project deliverables from installation phase through commissioning phase to final inspection.
  • Independently diagnose and solve system issues.
  • Load, test and troubleshoot all control code.
  • Train customers on all aspects of system functionality.
  • Communicate and interact with clients and industry professionals in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • 4 year Bachelor's Engineering Degree or 2-4 years Professional Audio Visual field engineering experience.
  • Exceptional technical IQ with a demonstrated deep knowledge of leading edge Audio Visual system functionality and DSP architecture.
  • Ability to independently interface with customers, system engineers and design consultants.
  • Hold ICIA (International Communications Industry Association) certification as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or higher.
  • Hold technical certifications from major equipment manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Clear One, AMX, etc.
  • Self-starter able to manage projects from start to finish and function as part of customers project delivery team with no direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
