We are currently seeking a dedicated Audio-Visual Field Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. This role is crucial as it involves specializing in the configuration, readiness, and troubleshooting of software and network-based product solutions. A fundamental understanding of audio-visual principles, functionality, and terminology is essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our audio-visual systems are configured correctly and function seamlessly for our clients. As an Audio-Visual Field Engineer, you will be tasked with configuring manufacturer applications, interfaces, and products based on specific system and client requirements. You will develop configuration requirements and documentation for these applications and products, providing support in the development, implementation, and testing of patch releases and system firmware upgrades. Your role will also involve planning and executing assigned configuration tasks within deadlines, both in the integration lab and in the field. You will verify systems integration wiring connectivity and terminations, analyze and resolve configuration issues promptly, and support the loading, testing, and documentation of results for pre-built customized control programs, touch panel files, and DSP builds. In addition to these responsibilities, you will complete final product configuration, testing, and commissioning of system solutions, utilizing Field Commissioning Reports. You will also perform end-user training on specific software applications and interfaces that require client interaction. Your expertise will contribute to system solutions analysis, design, development, and testing activities, and you will be responsible for developing and maintaining configuration policies and procedures. Furthermore, you will review and recommend changes to existing configuration processes and provide technical guidance to junior specialists in their assigned job duties.

Responsibilities

• Configuration of manufacturer applications, interfaces, and products based on system/client requirements.
• Develop configuration requirements and documents for manufacturer applications and products.
• Provide support in developing, implementing and testing patch releases and system firmware upgrades.
• Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within deadlines both in the integration lab and the field.
• Verify systems integration wiring connectivity and terminations in the lab.
• Analyze and resolve configuration issues in a timely manner.
• Provide support in loading, testing, and documenting results of pre-built customized control programs, touch panel files, and DSP builds.
• Verify systems installation wiring connectivity and terminations in the field.
• Complete final product configuration, testing, and commissioning of system solutions utilizing Field Commissioning Reports.
• Perform end-user training on specific software applications and interfaces requiring client interaction.
• Assist in system solutions analysis, design, development, and testing activities.
• Develop and maintain configuration policies and procedures.
• Review and recommend changes to existing configuration processes.
• Provide technical guidance to junior specialists in their assigned job duties.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in AV Installation, Commissioning and Service.
• AVIXA CTS/CTS-I and CQT preferred, but not required with the right experience.
• Good working knowledge of Crestron, BIAMP, Extron and QSC.
• Experience with AV industry software platforms. Any direct programming experience is a plus.
• Strong Networking skills. Any specific certifications or training is a plus.
• Experience with Audio tuning, equalization and DSP Programming.
• Organized, proactive and good communication skills.
