About the position

DTI is looking for multiple Audio/Visual Engineers to support the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, Maryland. The role involves designing, operating, modernizing, and maintaining AV systems across various conference rooms in multiple buildings, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT systems and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design audio visual system architecture.
• Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot switches, controllers, AMX, Netgear, and Crestron systems.
• Manage, operate, and troubleshoot Q-SYS audio video software for distribution, video switching, and control automation.
• Troubleshoot Q-SYS standards-based network infrastructure using AVB and Dante protocols for high-quality audio signal distribution.
• Manage and operate digital signal processing and system control.
• Ensure AV system integration with network equipment and existing IT systems.
• Manage network protocols and IP-based AV systems.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Polycom units, LCD displays, flat panel displays, ceiling-mounted PTZ cameras, digital recorders, monitors, microphones, amplifiers, and cabling.
• Troubleshoot AV software applications and build customer designs tailored to unique environment needs.
• Manage AV Quality of Service.
• Research AV equipment and recommend advanced technology for infrastructure modifications.

Requirements

• Ability to complete the CTS AVIXA certification.
