About the position

The position is located at the US Army Special Operations Command, General Public Affairs Office in Fort Liberty, NC. Responsibilities

  • Assists with managing the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Audio Visual Program.
  • Provides video and audio tape duplication service and audio recording for official USASOC Ceremonies.
  • Plans, designs, and performs layout of various visual information using multiple media methods.
  • Works with Media Production Center team and command staff to develop printed VI materials and simple audio-visual presentations.
  • Operates and maintains video/still imagery archiving system.
  • Utilizes computer editing systems to maintain data and develop various materials for public publication.
  • Communicates with customers about the best way to achieve desired effects.

Requirements

  • Specialized Experience (GS-09): One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the production of multimedia and audiovisual materials; operating audio-visual computer editing software; and managing video and audio equipment used in audiovisual production.
  • Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a relevant field.
  • Specialized Experience (GS-11): One year of specialized experience which includes producing multimedia and audiovisual products, capturing still photos and video using complex digital camera systems, and utilizing editing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Knowledge of multimedia technologies and technical reviews.
